Chapter 1: A normal night.

Nick Welt quickly moved down the hellhole streets of Redlands. He wasn't going to stay outside while the sun set in the west, he could get mugged by the steet's gang, or beaten by the cops.
Every day, the poor were getting poorer while the rich were getting richer. A couple years ago, the perfect society of the Wasteland Deserts fell apart, causing the lower class to go into a frenzy of crime, hate and murder. The High Class decided to use their company and personal armies to hide their fears and insecurities of a social rebellion.
Nick knew this well, always going to work at 'Uncle' Cho's market during the day as a boxer and then get home fast at night. But Nick feared that he may be out of a job. Recently, Marcus Winchester, a lowly, High Class asshole decided that he shouldn't have competition with a 70-year old Chinese man that can't even see straight.
Nick quickly went into a building, much like the ones lining the streets, and quickly bolted the door. He walked up the stairs, greeting his neighbor, Julia Barrows, on the way up. He reached his door and opened it, tossing his old pack on the couch and walked into the kitchen, digging into the fridge to grab a cold beer and then plopped down on the couch, turning on the crappy TV.
"More shitty shit." Nick observed out loud and then took a swig. He finished his beer and turned off the TV. He stretched with a yawn and went to bed, unaware of what will happen tomorrow and how much it will change him.
